# Solnix agent skills

Composable skills for AI agents and contributors working with **Solnix** — a
distribution of illumos built with the Nix package manager. Each skill is a
self-contained Markdown file an agent can load.

These are also served over the MCP server as resources (`skill://solnix/<name>`)
and listed in [`/agents.txt`](https://solnix.io/agents.txt).

## Query first

Before loading a skill to *reason about* Solnix, remember most questions are
answered faster by **querying** the live data:
